"Welcome friend, or honored guest if you prefer. Surely you are here to learn
more about the denizens of this peculiar place. But in all formality and
fairness, that would be wrong, without first introducing you to the
Planet Herself. After all, even she is a thinking and feeling being and
without her there would not be any of these other entities.
She is the planet known as Shi'imora. She exists on many different planes of
time-space, but none quite as strong, none as unique as on this Ninth Level.
You, my guest, exist on her Third Level, the human Earth. That is one of her more quiet
levels, a plane like most in which she is subdued and silent. Your plane was not altered by what we call the Change and Catastrophe.
All that does not matter however, as I have now opened you to this
plane. She was awakened on this level by the Change and Catastrophe, though
not even she is entirely sure of her own beginnings. All that is known is that something was on a very different path, something of complete chaos. Just explaining this 'Something' is impossible to do. Planets shifted onto very different courses; even whole solar systems
moved into one another, so close that they seem as one. A collision or an explosion occured; it can't be said for sure, but whatever
happened at the time, as horrible and destructive as it was, it planted a
seed. What you would know as earth was almost wholly destroyed. However, many
of its pieces found themselves on a very large and very dead planet, a derelict
of a beast that never held life. Not because it couldn't but because it
was never given the chance. Thusly it was given hope, a small fragment of
life that was once only known as Earth. THIS creation of our earth mother, was this Change and Catastrophe I speak of..
I will leave its evolution into the now existing Shi'imora to your imagination,
for the time being. For that is indeed, a very long and complex story. However, it is easily said that she is now very alive and
always changing. It is the only planet so full of energy and, conscious thinking that she is even able to speak to those who listen. If you are
quiet and still, you can even feel her pulse.
Her knowledge is as boundless as the gods and we could never begin to fully understand all her workings. In due time, you will learn to speak her tongue, sing her songs, and to learn all she can teach you. From her, more and more will be known to you and you. Then as human or creature, will know once again what it is to truly be 'awake'."
